eSIM Tenerife: QR activation on Orange
Updated 2026-08-22 · Local 4, Centro Comercial San Eugenio, Av. de los Pueblos 20, 38660 Costa Adeje
Orange eSIM for Tenerife via QR at A1 Computers, CC San Eugenio. 100GB €20 / 250GB €35 / 300GB €45 (IVA). Passport in person. EU roaming.
What an eSIM in Tenerife actually is
An eSIM Tenerife is a digital SIM profile. You scan a QR (or enter a code) and the line installs without a plastic card. A1 Computers issues tourist eSIMs on the Orange radio network. Order at /shop. The QR is emailed after we check your ID under Spanish prepaid law.
This is useful if you stay in Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Las Américas or elsewhere in the south and do not want to queue for plastic. It also works if your phone has no physical tray free (dual-SIM setups). If the device is not eSIM-capable, buy a physical card instead — see tourist SIM Costa Adeje. We do not publish speed tests. Coverage follows Orange in Tenerife and EU roaming rules on each pack.
eSIM plans and prices (IVA included)
The same three packs are sold as eSIM or physical SIM:
- Tourist 100 — 100GB / 20€ / 28 days / EU roaming 18GB
- Tourist 250 — 250GB / 35€ / 30 days / EU roaming 32GB (most picked)
- Tourist 300 — 300GB / 45€ / 30 days / EU roaming 35GB
IVA is included. Minutes and SMS are listed per product on checkout. Hotspot / tethering is allowed on these tourist packs as stated on the cards. After Tourist 300’s 300GB, the card states 2 Mbps. Compare plastic vs digital in Orange SIM card Tenerife if you share one phone with a second number.
How to buy and install the QR
Steps:
- Confirm the phone has eSIM (iPhone XS+, Pixel 3+, Samsung S20+ or equivalent).
- Open /shop during online order hours (London time: Mon–Sat 10:45–21:00, Sun 10:45–13:30).
- Choose eSIM and a pack. Enter holder details and upload passport (photo page) or DNI/NIE (front and back).
- Pay online when Stripe is available, or save the order and pay at Local 4.
- After verification we email the QR. Scan it, keep Wi‑Fi on during install, then enable the line and data roaming if you leave Spain inside the EU allowance.
Shop counter hours are longer than online checkout: Mon–Sat 10:45–21:30, Sun 10:45–14:00. Phone 922 71 35 82.
Local Orange eSIM vs Airalo, Holafly and airport desks
Airalo and Holafly suit travellers who want data-only before wheels-down, paid in an app, often without a Spanish MSISDN or a counter in Adeje. That is a real advantage on the plane. A local Orange tourist eSIM from A1 is a prepaid Spanish line with fixed GB, validity and EU roaming written on /shop, plus a human at Local 4 if the QR fails or the phone needs a physical SIM instead.
Airport kiosks at TFS (and northern TFN) sell on arrival. Fine if you want plastic before the transfer. Queues and kiosk pricing vary by day — we do not claim to undercut every desk. If you already have Wi‑Fi at the villa, eSIM from Costa Adeje avoids the arrivals hall. Read Tenerife airport SIM card for that fork.
ID, hours and where we are
Prepaid eSIM still needs passport, DNI or NIE. No valid ID → no QR. Address: Local 4, CC San Eugenio, Av. de los Pueblos 20, 38660 Costa Adeje. Online eSIM checkout uses London time windows above. The shop itself stays open Mon–Sat until 21:30 and Sunday until 14:00. If verification fails, we do not send the QR; fix the upload or bring the original to the counter.
